Even though this home was fairly new, the wood panelling was failing. As we got to work,  we realized that the surfaces were never prepared properly from installation. This caused the top coat to fail and allowed water to penetrate the surface. This resulted in the top coat peeling off and rotting the wood underneath. 

 All peeling and compromised surfaces were properly prepared, and all rotted wood was replaced. When using wood details on a home that withstands freezing cold winters and scorching summers, proper prep and installation is everything. The life of these beautiful wooden details was prolonged by taking the time to do things the right way.
